DPI Required Test for K-9 elementary/middle school license

Foundations of Reading Test (FoRT)  is required for the K-9 Elementary/Middle School license. 

The FORT is a content test that measures reading instruction knowledge and skills. It is required for applicants seeking initial licensure as an elementary teacher, special education teacher, reading teacher, or reading specialist in Wisconsin. 

In order to obtain a K-9 elementary/middle school license, a passing score as established by the State Superintendent must be obtained. In Wisconsin, the passing score has been established as 233.
